Every thing

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. -Psalm 150:6
...because I am surely tryna Praise Him with my pen!!
While scrolling through Instagram,  I saw a beautiful calligraphy writing that said "Everything".

'twas very pretty.

Since I am out waiting on my daughter,  I decided to try and write it myself.

Then I thought hey, might as well use it for my 31 Days of Drawing His Word.

A stone for bread?

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Call unto Me...

Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

This verse is the truth.

I called the Lord so many times about so much and every. single.  time., He did greater and mightier than what I thought.

And the beauty of it all is the good Lord has answered over and over again.

I am thankful for all the times that I called Him and He answered.

Day 24 - Yes. No.

I have discovered when I vascillate in my decision making,  I feel anxious and not at rest.

Has that ever happened to you?

It usually happens when I have to make a tough choice or the choice I make will offend someone so I waver or delay the decision.

But every time I remember this verse and go ahead and say no if need be, I have peace.

Simple as that.

It sure cuts out a whole lot of unnecessary drama.

Just say yes or no.

Of course some decisions require us to think things over and weigh them.  And in that case, we have to get back to that decision.  And then make the choice.

Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Day 23 - To know Him

If you are reading this chances are you have other social media platforms.   There is also a chance that you have written a bio on at least one of those platforms.

I have a bio on twitter and I also have a bio on blogger.  Both give you a brief synopsis of who I am.
I am a woman.  I am a daughter of the Most High God.  I am a mom and wife. I wear my hair natural.  I am a vegetarian.  And so on and so on.

Moses asked God to show him His glory.  That was bold of Moses don't you think?

In Exodus 34:5-8, God responded to Moses' request.

And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

I know society tries to paint a different picture of God, but the Bible has already given us a picture of who God is.

Do you know what He is like?

I want to know for myself what God is like.

I have found Him to be all these things (written in photo) and more.

You can find what God is like in  Exodus 34 .

Day 22 - Look up and Live

Although I drew a balloon to go with the verse that I am about to share, this is serious.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. -Numbers 21:8

The children of Israel were dying.  Their camp had been invaded by snakes.  The Lord gave Moses instruction to make a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole.  The Lord instructed them to look up and live.

Simple as that.

When life is overwhelming you with financial problems, marital problems and health and family issues, look up and live.

Look to Jesus.

In Him is life, hope and fullness of joy.

Look up and live.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. -Numbers 21:8

Day 21 - Taste and See

Some foods in life are just yummy.  Like icecream, but in my case vegan icecream.  And in my daughter's case Coconut Icecream.  My daughter is allergic to soy and dairy.

I love artichokes.
I love eggplant.
I love mushrooms,
I love green olives.
I love smoothies with frozen bananas and soymilk.
I love vegan entrees.

I love all these foods because I have eaten (or drank) them on many occasions.  I have eaten them for many years and I know for sure that I love these foods!

Have you ever tasted any of the foods that I listed?  Do you like any of them?
Let me know what foods you love in the comment section!

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. -Psalm 34:8

Day 15 - God is Love

With all that is going on in the world, sometimes we forget that God is love.  All day. Everyday.

The awful things in this world are the result of sin, not the results of God not knowing or caring.

Because God knows and God cares.

God is love.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Day 13 - Love. Do good. Pray.

I doodled these words awhile back during worship after reading this verse:

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; -Matthew 5:44

Day 12 - Only Believe

Sometimes well meaning people can speak the most unhopeful things to you.  Sometimes not so well meaning people can speak the most unhopeful things to you.

Either way, it can be hard to believe in whatever it is that you were hoping for.

Do you know the story about Jairus and his daughter?

Well, he went to Jesus because his daughter was very ill.  The Bible says that Jairus "fell at Jesus' feet and besought Him to come to his house'.  Jairus wanted Jesus to heal his daughter.

And then those people came.

They could have been well-meaning.

But, basically, those people said that you have no reason to hope any further.

When Jesus heard those people speaking to Jairus, He had two words for Jairus.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. -Mark 5:36

Day 11- In His Time

Has your child ever said to you "...but Mom, you promised."?

I know that my children have said that to me.  And when they do, I try to deliver what I said because they said that I promised. And I want to do what I say for my children.

And if I, who am but dust, can muster up something to deliver for my children, wouldn't God do more than I could ever do?  Absolutely.

When life looks a hot mess, remember our Heavenly Father promised to make everything beautiful in His time.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time ...-Ecclesiastes 3:11

Day 10- ...but the Son of Man..

I decided to press on with the 31 Days of Drawing His Word even though I am four days behind.  I was going to just stop doing the 31 Days, but decided to just keep at it and who knows maybe I will actually do all the 31 posts.  I am going to post 31 posts but I have already missed (several times) posting daily.  ...I am new to this.

I saw a fox at Art Projects for Kids.  I thought about this scripture:

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Since my daughter was out of school today and I didn't have to work, we watercolored.
And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. -Matthew 8:20

Day 9 - Have you been in awe lately?

I finally captured a photo of a rainbow today. Yay!!  I  was starting to wonder why I never got a photo of  a rainbow in the sky.  Well, today was my day and thankfully my phone was charged.

Because I worked today, I am too tired to draw a rainbow so I am going to post this long awaited picture that I got today.

Let's talk about the rainbow for a minute, shall we?

After work today, nature decided to pour down a ton of rain.  It rained so hard that I put on my hazard lights because it was very blurry trying to see through the downpour.

I asked the Lord to stop the rain.  Although the rain didn't stop immediately, it did let up a bit.  Then it was back to the downpour.

What gave me a bit of hope was the clear clouds that I saw in the sky up ahead and I knew the rain would stop eventually.

And praise the Lord it did finally stop.  I do not like driving in rain and especially a whole lot of rain.

Well, fast forward to further down the highway after the rain, and what do I see?  Yes, girl a rainbow!!!  Let's scream together! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

And then I thought about  "being in awe of the Most High God".

...because quietly and majesticly, the rainbow appeared.

I was in awe because there it was.  The promise.  Right before my eyes.

Have you been in awe lately by Him?

And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 1

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.  -Genesis 9:11-17

Day 8 - Why we should want to be perfect

Please don't get it twisted.  Believe me when I say that I am the last person on earth that should be telling anyone about perfection because I am so far from perfect.  I ain't perfect.

But, God is.

And for that reason perfection is a beautiful thing.  It is a beautiful thing to strive for...not in my own strength but in His.

Perfection is something to strive for as a Christian.  I  mean in a good way.

As a Christian, we should do our best in whatever we do.
We should keep our eyes on our Perfect Pattern even when we fall and make mistakes.

I don't mean run around talking and acting better than you are or better than anyone else, but doing the best you can with what you have and doing it for the glory of God.

...doing everything for His glory is what I mean.  I hope someone understands what I am trying to say here and I hope you understand the spirit and context that I mean it in.

Perfection is a beautiful thing.

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.  -Matthew 5:48

Day 7 - When life drains you...

Sometimes life is draining. I don't need to list all the things that are draining to you because you know what they are.  I certainly know what drains me.

And when you are drained, you need to be refilled.

Everytime I get to that point in life, I look to the Only Source I know, Jesus.

I sometimes claim this promise in Isaiah:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

And every. time. the good Lord looks upon me and gives me strength to keep going.

What do you do when life drains you?

Here are a few verses for you when you feel as though you have no more strength:

Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. -1 Chronicles 16:11

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.-2 Samuel 22:33

Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. -Job 4:4

Day 6 - Consider the Ant

I drew this picture awhile back.  I actually got the idea from a book that my youngest daughter has.  I liked the picture and thought the verse in Proverbs went well with it.

So the art lover in me drew it and hung it up in the house!

Simple powerpacked verse.

Have you ever seen ants in the summer? They are everywhere.  But when the fall comes they have their homes all made and you don't see them again until the next summer.

Great counsel for life. ...prepare.  and prepare some more.

Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Day 5 - How to understand life and the times we live in

The Bible has been everything that it says to me and more.  We know the verse that says "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path" right?

Well, the Bible has been just that a lamp to my feet in this world and a light to the ways  of life as well!!

The Bible has been my guide to health and life!  It has been my encouragement when life was just too tough,  The Bible has strengthened me and it has even shown me stuff that I thought God didn't know about.  And moments like that I know that God is near.  He is a Friend at all times.  He understands and in His own way, He can make sure that you know that.

But most of all the Bible has given me understanding and that is everything.

...I am understanding; I have strength. -Proverbs 8:14

What is the Bible to you?

The Bible has helped me to understand life.  And for that I am grateful.

I took these Bible studies here and I really enjoyed them.  Perhaps you may enjoy them as well.

I also went to a Prophecy Seminar and here are the Bible Studies that they used.

Here are the original videos made by the author, Gary Gibbs.  The videos are dated but the truth remains. You may enjoy them and find clarity to the books of Daniel and Revelation.  We can see the way things are going in this world and the only good thing I see is that God knows it all and in His love He has shared in His word what to expect and how to make it to heaven.

If you take the studies, I hope that you enjoy them and gain clarity and understanding.

Day 4 - Ask, Seek, and Knock

This verse is something that I love about God.

God makes life simple.

This verse is about as simple as it gets.

Just ask.

Just knock.

Just look.

Simple as that.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: -Matthew 7:7

Day 3 - The Birds trust, live and soar

This photo above is from my Scripture Notebook that I use to doodle drawings when I study my bible.  I always try to have some type of small notebook when I study the Bible because if I want to jot something down or draw something, I have paper right there to do that.

The watercolor photo  in this post was my very first attempt at using watercolor pencils.  The barn below was my inspiration.
This is also before I started practicing calligraphy as well.  But, you have to start somewhere when you start anything.  And this is my somewhere starting place with watercolor pencils and calligraphy. Not fancy but it is where I started.

The photos below were taken during an outing earlier this year.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? -Matthew 6:26
