Painting Pears in the evening time

My second daughter left her acrylic paints behind so I figured this would be a great opportunity for my youngest daughter to delve into some fun colors and paint!

So yesterday evening my youngest daughter and I did some painting.

We used the acrylics as well as watercolor paints.

One of the acrylic paint colors was kiwi.  It is such a pretty green.

I decided to paint a "kiwi green" pear.

I like it!

Simple little kiwi green pear painting in the evening time.

Painting is a great way to spend a little quality time with your family.

I am on a little quest to find creative things to do in the evening time.

Do you create artful stuff with your children in the evenings?

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. -Psalm 127:3

Life as a Vegetarian

I have been a vegetarian for a long time now.

It all started when my mom rejoined the church that she grew up in.  That church is the Seventh-day Adventist church.

After she joined, her diet changed from a meat-eating lifestyle to a non-meat lifestyle.

She began cooking vegetarian meals back in the early '80s.

I joined the Seventh-day Adventist church in the mid '80s and became a vegetarian as well.

One of the beautiful things about this wonderful denomination is their health message.  The message is simply your body is the temple of God and the best diet for you is one that is filled with fruits, veggies and little to no meat. ...and get exercise, fresh air and rest and trust the Lord.

One of the JOYS of being a vegetarian is eating out!

One of the places that my family likes to eat is Willy's Mexicana Grill.

It's like a burrito amplified.

I always get a "Tofu Burrito" and load it up with as much yummyness as I can.

That yummyness includes:
Rice
Black Beans
Tofu
Onions
Bell Peppers
Cilantro
Corn Salsa
Pico de Gallo
Mushrooms
Coleslaw
Cucumbers
Red Peppers
Onions
Lime
Jalepenos
Green Sauce
This post is for that one person who has ever wondered "What does a vegetarian eat when she goes out?"

Well, a Tofu Burrito from Willy's is a good place to start.

So what about you?

Are you a vegetarian?

Have you ever tried meatless meals?  If so tell me about it in the comment section.

Do you have any questions about a vegetarian lifestyle?  If so, send me a message via the contact form in the sidebar!

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. -1Corinthians 10:31

Color Your Day 02

Do you use red peppers?  What about orange and yellow peppers?

Most of the time when I am cooking and I have all these colorful peppers out, I always find myself taking a photo or wanting to take a photo.

I love the colors of the peppers all lined up

So colorful!

How are you coloring your day with your food these days?

Let me know in the comment section.

Color Your Day! 01

I love to Color My Day.

I love to see pretty colors.

I love to eat pretty colored food.

I love pretty colored notebooks.

I love to write with pretty colored pens!
I love to see my daughter make colorful drawings and colorful artwork!

On this morning, I added real strawberries to the yogurt because I wanted the yogurt to have a little bit more color.

I love color.

As often as I can, I try to eat color.

I try to see color and take in the beauty around me.

How do you color your day?
Let me know in the comment section below!  I would love to know!

Morning!

But before breakfast happened, I had devotion.  I am reading the book of Proverbs, Psalms and John. I read chapter 19 of each book.  I then had prayer and then fixed breakfast.

This post was a part of a link up with Our Project 52, but they have deleted that link up so the link has been removed.

Have a great week!

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  - Lamentations 3:22-23
