Make Art After Church

Hey Everyone!

Can you believe tomorrow is September?

Time waits for no one.

...and time has flown by this year.

Today for this post, I want to share with you one of the activities that I sometimes do after church.

One of the things that I used to do with my daughters after church when they were younger was to bring their little sketch pads and colored pencils to a local park.  We would sit on a blanket and draw whatever we saw in nature.

And recently, we took our youngest (the last in the nest) to a nearby lake after church and we water colored.

Yep, we water colored our view.

Just a little simple relaxation thing that we do after church sometimes.

After Church Activity: Watercoloring My View

Yay! Friday is here!

This has been a good busy week for me. How has your week been?

About two weeks ago, I had some family and friends over for dinner. One person liked the food so much that they asked me to prepare their Sabbath dinner for tomorrow!

So today I will be preparing for that dinner! I also captured quite a few flower pictures this week.

I love flowers.

The photos in this post are all the blooming flowers that I captured this week. ...so pretty.

Flowers are like constant reminders of God's promises and that life has beauty.

I hope your weekend is filled with rest, love and beauty.

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. -Deuteronomy 5:14

If you are reading this chances are you have other social media platforms.   There is also a chance that you have written a bio on at least one of those platforms.

I have a bio on twitter and I also have a bio on blogger.  Both give you a brief synopsis of who I am.

I am a woman.  I am a daughter of the Most High God.  I am a mom and wife. I wear my hair natural.  I am a vegetarian.  And so on and so on.

Moses asked God to show him His glory.  That was bold of Moses don't you think?

In Exodus 34:5-8, God responded to Moses' request.

And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

I know society tries to paint a different picture of God, but the Bible has already given us a picture of who God is.

Do you know what He is like?

I want to know for myself what God is like.

I have found Him to be all these things (written in photo) and more.
